"Endless Skies"

Written for all past, present and future crews from space agencies around the world, with a special ending for those who now reside in the endless skies.

"Endless Skies"

Dedicated to all past, current and future space explorers and the crews who assist them.

The fire forms and lifts you from this place
Beyond the chains of the rest of us
Higher you go, til nearly weightless
Always Falling but never falling down

On a rocket to the skies
Above the trials of man
You rise

The stars they shine, just beyond the window
Looking back at you, I wonder if they see

On a journey through the skies
Above the tired lies
You rise

When I take the chance to dream
I wonder if you're watching me
Cause I know I'm always seeing you
Through the endless skies
Through the miles and miles
Can you take me with you

Silent expanse, reaching out to touch you
Holding secrets giving one at a time
The moon lay bare, like it wants to guide you
Reminding that the striving is a victory alone

On that rocket to the skies
Toward the answers you rise

When I take the chance to dream
I wonder if you're watching me
Cause I know I'm always seeing you
Through the endless skies
Through the miles and miles
Do you take me with you

All the questions in my dreams
You can touch them easily
And I want to be with you

(Instrumental)

And with every part of me
I raise my hands to feel
The souls of those who will never leave
Into the stars you have gone
But the stars still live on
The only things to match your beauty
You're a part of me
All I want to be
Wherever the endless skies may take me

About Gunner

I've been writing songs since junior high (and man, did those early attempts suck), inspired by the likes of Heart, Lita Ford, Dolly Parton, The Judds, Black Sabbath, Doro, and many more.

I started playing piano as a kid but found my true love in drums, claiming the name Wolfdrummer. Unfortunately, I suffered a hand injury that took rock drumming off the table for now. It's hard to hold a stick once your hand goes numb.

Now I primarily play piano and bass, writing songs I wish others would sing.

2018 is a year for demo recordings. Stay tuned.
